In queste pagine troverete un riassunto della mia tesi di laurea, riguardante la Società dell'Informazione, Internet e le Piccole e Medie Imprese in un contesto sostanzialmente europeo, "discussa" (si fa per dire) a fine novembre 1997.
Ho cercato di capire quale fosse l'impatto di Internet, vista come l'esempio più interessante delle
nuove Tecnologie di Informazione e Comunicazione (TIC), nelle PMI, e come
d'altro canto le imprese si siano mosse (o si debbano muovere) per approfittare
dei vantaggi portati dalla Società del'Informazione; il tutto in
un ottica essenzialmente europea, ma non ho trascurato le azioni del G7.
La prima versione di queste pagine
risale a dicembre 1997. Da allora in questo campo sono cambiate molte cose:
le PMI si sono fatte più attente ai mezzi di telecomunicazione,
la Comunità Europea stessa ha potenziato ulteriormente i propri
progetti e sono stati fatte alcune indagini anche in Italia.
Quando ho potuto, ho rintracciato siti e documenti più aggiornati, che spero possano essere d'aiuto.
Non ho volutamente riempito queste pagine di suoni, grafici, applet Java e via dicendo, poichè vorrei che tali pagine fossero visibili al meglio dal più alto numero di persone, e ho puntato quindi più alla funzionalità che all'estetica. Fornisco una pagina di quali sono i link e le fonti telematiche che sono riuscito a trovare durante le ricerche per la tesi: spero che possano essere di una qualche utilità per qualcuno, anche se ormai inevitabilmente datate.
L'intenzione non è più tanto quella di fornire ausilio a studi recenti, quanto quella di lasciare una traccia di un lavoro credo pioneristico su tematiche oggi scontate, ma 10 anni fa del tutto innovative.

In these pages you can find a summary of my thesis, about the Information Society, Internet and the Small and Medium Entreprises in an European context, back then on November 1997.
I tried to understand what is (and is going to be) the impact of Internet, seen as the most interesting example of the new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) on the SMEs, and, on the other hand, how the SMEs react (or should react) to make use of the advantages brought by the Information Society; all that basically under an European point of view, but I did not forget the G7.
The first version of these pages was made in december 1997. Since then, quite a lot of things have changed. SMEs are now more aware of telecommunication, the European Community has increased and improuved his programs, and there are more and more researches and surveys. In these pages, I tried to give a short presentation along with more links to documents or sites that I have found in the meanwhile
I created these pages without sounds, applet Java and so on, because I would like that everyone can read them without problems. I think in this case functionality is better then esthetic. There is a page with some main links I have found out during my searches: I hope they will be somehow useful to some of you, altought nowadays they should be quite out of date.
The pourpose of these web pages it is not any longer to provide help for researches and new studies, but to merely leave a trace of what I did 10 years ago, about topics that now are absolutely "normal", but back then was something almost pioneristic.
